Courtney Ramsey

Born and raised in East Texas, Courtney brings a unique and integrative background to wildlife and ecosystem health research. Her career path began in the arts, transitioned into veterinary technology and zoo medicine, and now she is dedicated to native wildlife and ecosystem research and conservation. Her varied pathway has equipped her to bridge veterinary science, wildlife management, and ecological research using creative problem solving.
As a Research Associate at Texas Tech University, Courtney is a co-PI, project manager, and laboratory manager on studies of wildlife disease ecology, zoonotic risk, and ecosystem health, where her training in veterinary medicine and wildlife science allows her to integrate diverse perspectives and address challenges across the One Health spectrum.
