NRM Research Day, Spring 2024
We are very proud of the TCC showing during the Spring 2024 NRM Research Day!
Several TCC graduate students and an undergraduate student presented their work during the event.
From left: Madison Ramsey, Pierce Adams, Chris Carter, and Carsten Groos each gave updates on their research goals and current status via poster presentations. They are all just getting geared up and ready to launch into their research.
Seth Hawke (not pictured) discussed the findings of his Undergraduate Research Experience (URE) project in his poster, which tied for third place in the poster competition!
Angela Patrick (not pictured) did a great job succinctly presenting the results of her M.S. research in the 3-Minute Thesis competition.
Regardless of where each student is in the process of their research, these in-house conferences offer wonderful opportunities for the students to gain experience in science communication, effectively presenting their work to a larger audience via both oral and visual, or graphic, approaches. They also provide an opportunity for the department to shine, showcasing all of the amazing work that the NRM faculty and students are invovled in.
