Chris Carter takes a water sample from a wildlife guzzler as part of his research investigating surface water microbiomes in the Trans-Pecos region of Texas, with particular interest in Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae, a bacteria linked to lethal bighorn sheep pneumonia events.
