URE: Collecting baseline mammal and bird species presence data on 7R Ranch, a TTU Research Ranch in the North Central Plains of Texas.

Callie is a North Texas native with a strong passion for wildland conservation. Growing up in the rapidly developing DFW area, she fostered a deep respect for wildlife and the outdoors, which inspired her research interest in urban–wildland interfaces. As an undergraduate, she collected baseline biological data on a TTU-affiliated working ranch in Granbury, Texas, conducting avian surveys, vegetation plots, bat monitoring, and camera trapping. She earned her B.S. in Natural Resources Management in Aug 2025.
