M.S. in Wildlife, Aquatic and Wildlands Science and Management

Grace grew up in Azle, Texas, and developed a passion for the outdoors through time spent hunting and working on her family’s ranch in Cross Plains, Texas. She received her B.S. in Natural Resources Management with a concentration in Wildlife Biology from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude in May 2024 and receiving the Highest Academic Achievement Award in the Department of Natural Resources Management. As an undergraduate, she worked as a student assistant on multiple research projects, gaining experience with wild turkeys, sandhill cranes, purple martins, spotted skunks, white-tailed deer, and various bat species. Grace is currently a non-thesis master’s student in the Wildlife, Aquatic, and Wildlands Science Management program at Texas Tech University under Dr. Warren Conway. Her graduate work focuses on conducting a comprehensive health assessment of Rio Grande Wild Turkeys across their range and was supported by the Rob and Bessie Welder Wildlife Foundation Fellowship. She hopes to pursue a career in environmental consulting, working at the intersection of wildlife conservation, land management, and regulatory compliance.
