Texas Tech University

Courtney is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who returned to school after a career in zoo medicine with the goal of working with endemic wildlife.  She obtained her B.S.F. from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2014, and after completing her M.S. in Wildlife, Aquatic, and Wildlands Science and Management at TTU in 2019, she joined the TCC team as a Research Associate in January of 2020.  She is directly involved in many of Dr. Conway's projects as a Co-PI, and tangentially involved in the rest as a resource for all TCC graduate students. She is interested in wildlife movement ecology and habitat use, especially as related to disease epidemiology and modeling.  Courtney is also interested in using advanced genetic techniques to non-invasively sample wildlife populations.
